The Vancouver Internet Exchange (VANIX) is an entity, or physical infrastructure, located in downtown Vancouver, that allows networks of Internet Service Providers, content providers, webhosters and various networks to interconnect directly and exchange Internet traffic between their networks through mutual peering agreements.
- Faster network traffic
- Keeps network traffic local (as opposed to being routed on long distances like through the US)
- Cost efficiencies in connecting to a single point of peering
- Better content delivery networks
Nominations for candidates for election to the Board of Directors of Vanix are now open. Kindly follow the link below for more information. The process closes at 5:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
